Original watercolor coreopsis flowers painted on cream featherweight handmade acid-free deckle edge cotton paper with artist grade pigments.

The Magic

Painted in a loose gestural technique - the seeming ease is very hard to accomplish and demonstrates skill and experience. This approach is inspired by millennia old Chinese brush painting and calligraphy.

The Story

Coreopsis or tickseed is a Native North American plant. I love the contrast created by the pop of dark brown in the honey yellow center. A truly invigorating and joyful summer flower, a bees  and butterflies favorite.

Make It Yours

This is an original painting - 1 of 1 - not a print. Signed by the artist.

The painting measures roughly 4" x 6" (10 x 15 cm) and will be mailed sealed in a cello sleeve (for moisture protection) with padding in a rigid envelope. Please note that size may vary within 1/4 inch due to the handmade nature of the paper.

All artwork ships from Massachusetts, USA within 2 business days. Delivery time varies depending on the destination.

Frame is not included. Storing in direct sunlight is not recommended (like any original artwork).

Framing suggestion

Deckle edge adds unique rustic charm to the artwork. You can put the painting in a larger frame with a sheet of color paper underneath thus highlighting the unique edge, or frame to size for a crisp look.
